Painting "Divine Landscape. Nostalgia- longing for return" 120x110 cm
Nostalgia is a longing to return - for someone at home, for someone at the office, but you can only long for the place to which you belong or with which you have a close connection. The fact of the place of birth alone does not create a connection - the experience does. Therefore, we can also call a completely atypical place "ours", as long as we have personally experienced it. Then we feel we belong.
Meeting this June meadow was also an incredible joy for me because of the incredibly magical landscape in front of my eyes. After that evening, I had the feeling that it was "my" meadow, because something had been experienced here. And quite atypical - the whole time I was painting, I was sitting in my thoughts among those grasses, in that evening light. I guess I was longing for it.
